Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?

Lift Industry News is a UK-based magazine with a global outlook actively supporting the UK lift and escalator industry. Our first issue was launched in April 2022, and we’ve published quarterly ever since. We focus on news, views, people, safety, training and study working closely with the likes of LEIA, CIBSE Lifts Group and the Lift Industry Charity.

Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?

Our readers are lift and component manufacturers, operators, installation and maintenance companies as well as consultants, architects and facilities managers.

How many times have you been to LIFTEX?

This is our second time; our first time was to showcase the new magazine!

What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?

We cover the main issues facing the industry by focusing on a theme for each issue. We tap into the latest developments and topics that we know impact the industry. We invite several experts to contribute so that we can offer a range of perspectives and opinions.

Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?

It goes without saying that building safety has been a major theme in the past few issues, and we’ve had some great contributions from experts on this. In our Spring 2025 issue Hywel Davies gave an excellent perspective on the new process to apply for approval of plans under the Building Regulations in England and what is required.

How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?

NA

What will you be promoting / what can visitors expect to see on your stand?

We’ll be showcasing the magazine, meeting our readers and supporters. We hope to tell more people about the magazine and encourage them to subscribe (for free!) We would also love to hear visitor stories and get feedback on the topics and issues they would like to see covered in future.

What advice would you give to anyone visiting the show? What should they look for and how can they get the most from their visit?

Come and see us! Sign up for the LinkedIn newsletter so you keep up to date with the show news. Look at the floorplan, plan out who you want to speak to and come up with a bit of a schedule. It’s always a great idea to get in touch with exhibitors in advance and set up meetings / coffees so that you know you will make the most of your two days. Also, get to the seminars early as the seats go fast!
