Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?
Schmersal Böhnke+Partner has been a trusted name in the lift industry since 1991. We specialize in developing and manufacturing highly innovative lift control systems, modernization solutions, and safety components, ensuring elevators operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. As part of the global Schmersal Group, we combine decades of expertise with a commitment to customer-focused innovation.
Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?
We proudly serve a broad range of customers including lift manufacturers, modernization specialists, and maintenance companies around the world. Our key markets include Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and South/North America, where there is a growing demand for smart, sustainable, and future-proof lift technology.
How many times have you been to LIFTEX?
This is the first time that Schmersal Böhnke+Partner participates in the LIFTEX and we are excited to be there in 2025. We look forward to meeting new partners, clients, and industry professionals who are searching for innovative lift system solutions. Also, engaging with visitors and other exhibitors helps us understand new market demands and the evolving needs of the vertical transportation.
What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?
A key challenge in the elevator industry is the lack of skilled labor and the shift from analog to digital. At Böhnke+Partner, our response is rooted in what we do best: high-quality German engineering. Our control systems are robust, agile, intuitive, easy to install and maintain, and built for long-term reliability. We aim to create real value across the chain, ensuring elevator availability and the best user experience.
Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?
Over the next year, evolving safety standards, digitalization demands, and the drive towards sustainability will continue to shape the industry. Technical advisors and contractors prioritize future-proof solutions that offer remote monitoring capabilities, and flexibility to adapt to upcoming regulatory changes.
How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?
At Böhnke+Partner, we believe the elevator industry supports buildings meet the Net Zero goals. Our engineers select energy-efficient components and develop solutions that regenerate energy back into the grid. With Blue Modus technology, our systems manage energy use smartly. At LIFTEX, visitors can discover our new lift destination call system bpTARGET, system solutions and remote lift monitoring designed to maximize lift and maintenance efficiency. Our team will be on hand to provide live demos and personalized advice.
What advice would you give to anyone visiting the show? What should they look for and how can they get the most from their visit?
Glady asks us about our system solutions. Look for solutions that not only meet today’s needs but are adaptable for the future. Engage with the exhibitors and don’t hesitate to ask about digitalization and lift solutions. These are critical factors for long-term success in our sector.
