Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?

SIMSINLifts launched in 2023, to bridge the gap between the lift and telecoms sectors. Most emergency lift phones are mobile – which will become mandatory in January 2027 – but single-network sims can fail. Our multi-roam sims connect to the strongest available network to ensure uninterrupted emergency connection. We also have an industry-first sim management portal, so engineers and operators to activate, track and manage sims remotely for easier operations.

Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?

We serve lift companies and lift engineers across the UK, providing reliable, future-proofed emergency communications. Our customers range from independent contractors to major operators managing huge portfolios. Our history of uninterrupted connection, plus the advanced management portal, has created trust, as the team goes above and beyond to reduce costs, cut downtime and keep people connected.

How many times have you been to LIFTEX?

This will be our first time presenting – and we’re very much looking forward to meeting others in the industry, hopefully learning more about our customers whilst engaging with potential new partners.

What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?

The most common issues come from single-network sims, manual activations and complex billing. Our multi-roam sims solve the first problem, whilst the portal takes care of the others. Engineers don’t waste time returning to sites to manage sims because the portal allows remote stock tracking and activation. Meanwhile, operators save through one-click cancellations and automated billing, no longer paying for inactive sims or failed calls.

Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?

Yes. The PSTN switch-off means traditional landlines are being phased out. Everyone must ensure lifts have reliable mobile emergency connection and single-network sims are no longer viable. Only multi-roam is guaranteed to come through. Companies should also invest in smart management tools to maintain control over their sims, preventing unnecessary stressors and costs.

How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?

The integration of smart technologies is a great start, reducing energy consumption and eliminating operational inefficiencies. Remote monitoring and management solutions, like our sim portal, cut unnecessary visits, lowering emissions. By prioritising digital solutions and efficient connections, we can help buildings operate more sustainably whilst maintaining safety.

What will you be promoting / what can visitors expect to see on your stand?

We’re obviously passionate about multi-roam, as it provides unrivalled telecoms security for the lift industry. However, we’re mainly here to talk about our platform – showing people what it is, how it works and how it can benefit them. Our mission is to make life easier for lift companies – and we want to talk about that.

What advice would you give to anyone visiting the show? What should they look for and how can they get the most from their visit?

LIFTEX is the perfect opportunity to explore industry innovations. My advice would be to look beyond hardware and learn about solutions that might modernise your services. Ask questions, try the technology and really think about how smart solutions could save you time. Networking is key, so speak to experts and suppliers, discerning how to grow your business and stay ahead of change.
