Tell us about your business, when was it formed and what do you do?

Advanced Handling was established in 1977 and has been solving manual handling challenges for over 45 years. We design and manufacture bespoke lifting and handling solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and productivity. From Goods & Mezzanine lifts, Scissor tables, Stackers and bespoke solutions, Our equipment helps businesses move loads smarter.

Who are your customers? Which markets do you serve?

We work with businesses of all sizes, from small manufacturers to global brands. We have customers in a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, food & drink, pharmaceuticals, automotive and logistics. If there’s a manual handling challenge, we’re here to help – whether it’s lifting, stacking or moving goods safely and efficiently.

How many times have you been to LIFTEX?

We took part in Liftex in 2022, which was a fantastic opportunity to connect with many new partners and showcase our innovative handling solutions. It gave us great insight into the industry’s evolving needs enabling us to adjust our solutions to meet those needs.

What are the main issues that your customers deal with and how do you help them?

Many of our customers struggle with the limitations of off-the-shelf lifting solutions—one size simply doesn’t fit all. Standard specs often don’t meet their unique needs. That’s where we come in. At Advanced Handling, we offer bespoke, custom-built equipment tailored to each business. Plus, our in-house service team handles maintenance and repairs, helping reduce downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

Are there any issues that specifiers, contractors / owners should be aware of in the next 12 months?

There is a new standard for lifting platforms and tables, EN 1570-1:2024 which comes into force from next March 2026.

How can we, as an industry, help designers and building owners to become more energy efficient and meet Net Zero targets?

This is such an important topic currently not just for businesses but also for all individuals. At Advanced Handling, and across our larger Group, we are working towards meeting the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By working towards meeting these goals Advanced Handling is taking steps to ensure that future designs and manufacturing processes will be better for environment and local communities.

What will you be promoting / what can visitors expect to see on your stand?

We are excited to be showcasing our Reach goods lift range with a couple of new additions, including a fully operational demo lift so visitors can see exactly how our lifts work in action, and by popular demand, we will be bringing our golf putting challenge back with some sweet treats.

What advice would you give to anyone visiting the show? What should they look for and how can they get the most from their visit?

Come with a clear idea of the challenges you’re trying to solve—but stay open to new ideas too. The show is a great chance to see solutions up close, ask questions, and meet the people behind the solutions. Don’t just collect brochures—get hands-on, try demos, and have real conversations. And of course, swing by our stand for a chat, see our latest goods lifts and take part in our golf challenge
